Autoimmune diseases such as Fibromyalgia, Autism, Asthma and Allergies, Eczema, Dermatitis, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Celiac Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Ulcerative Colitis, RA and Juvenile RA are plaguing Americans in epidemic proportions. These diseases arise from an overactive immune response by the body against substances and toxins normally not present in large amounts in the body. MOST OF THE HEALTHY FOODS:
- Are found on the perimeter of the supermarket.
- Do NOT come in a box.
- Are not white.
- Are grown, not manufactured (processed).
- Do not contain artificial anything.
- Will grow mold if not eaten in a timely manner.
AVOID EATING THE 5 WHITE POISONS
- Enriched white flour –substitute with whole or multi-grains.
- Table Salt- Substitute with Sea Salt or Kosher salt..
- Milk and Dairy- Substitute with organic soy (not for kids), almond, or rice milk.
- Sugar-Substitute with Stevia or Agave, available in health food stores.
- Artificial Sweeteners - Aspartame, NutraSweet, Equal, all = POISON.
* All of the above create an acidic body. Disease thrives on acidity.
LABEL READING: Get good at reading labels. Your health depends on it.
- Partially Hydrogenated Oils = Disease and Death. Health Enemy #1. These are also listed as trans fats and vegetable shortening, but don’t be fooled by 0 Trans Fats on the packaging, the FDA lets the food companies lie.
- Avoid foods high in sugar (Grams divided by 3 = # of packets of sugar). Sugar may be listed as Corn Syrup, Maltose, Dextrose, Fructose and worst of all High Fructose Corn Syrup which is Health Enemy #2, because it shuts off your “I’m Full” mechanism and is very bad for the liver.
- Artificial Sweeteners are basically all poison and will NOT help you lose weight.
- Preservatives – basically if you can’t say it, you don’t want to eat it.
- Food colorings, MSG, high sodium, artificial flavorings – all bad.
FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
Eat 9-13 servings of RAW fruits and vegetables every day for optimum health.
- Consume a salad every day containing dark green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale, red and dark green lettuce. Add broccoli, carrots, peppers, tomatoes, radishes, red onions, and cauliflower too!
- Consume a rainbow diet of fruits and vegetables. Each color provides different antioxidants.
- Cooking, frying, baking, micro-waving, and even steaming destroy the live enzymes, fiber, and most of the nutrients. Exceptions are tomatoes and carrots.
- 70% of your diet should be fruits & vegetables and whole grains (70% of those raw), 10% protein, 20% lipids (oils & fats).

FIBER
The importance of fiber to your health can not be over emphasized. Fiber not only helps clean you out, but also helps maintain even blood sugar levels.
- Optimum daily intake between 30 and 45 grams.
- A diet rich in raw fruits, vegetables and whole grains will help meet this guideline.
- Sources of fiber: Irish Steel cut oats, 1 Tablespoon/day fresh ground flax seed, raw fruits and vegetables.
FATS: Heating destroys the good properties of oil.
- GOOD FATS: Omega-3 oils from salmon, tuna, organic ground flax seeds, avocados, mangos, raw pumpkin seeds, walnuts, free-range eggs, and sea vegetables. Omega-9 Cold Pressed Olive Oil.
- BAD FATS: Saturated = animal fats (fatty meats, hotdogs, butter, lard) Trans fats = Hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated fats and are found in cookies, crackers, potato chips, margarines, flavored coffee creamers.
PROTEINS
- Eat smaller portions, approximately the size of your fist.
- Eat leaner cuts.
- Non meat sources like nuts are good choices, but don’t roast them.
