Meet My Favorite Retirees:

As people age, philosophy shifts. Retirement hopefully provides the time to do things you hadn't had the opportunity to do.

Meet Paul and Arline, retirees with the time to play philosophy (pictured above with their "toy", a 40th Anniversary Edition Mustang Convertible RT).  It is their goal to enjoy every minute they have while they are physically able to do so.  We love their thinking.

One thing they participate in, which is simultaneously a blessing and a curse, is the 50+ club at their local church.  When they became involved, the club was small.  Now they have an amazing organization with over 400 members.  The curse part?  They are involved with the organizational operations of the club, including trips and events, and it's a lot of work.  But they do get such great pleasure from the trips, and they love to know that they are providing an opportunity for the club's members to develop friendships, eliminate lonliness, and enjoy themselves. The 50+ club goes on trips galore.  The club also has wonderful educational speakers at their meetings, barbecues, luncheons, bingo, and many events.

We invite other senior clubs to converse with Paul and Arline to trade ideas for things to do, stories of club members, and achievements of their clubs.  Our goal?  To help connect clubs nationwide -- to provide an opportuntity for clubs to "meet", maybe arrange to get together and visit each other to give tours in their own towns and cities to other clubs -- it's all in the experience.

After all, isn't it time to play?
